Vitamins for hair growth
Vitamins for hair growth Vitamins, minerals and supplements all have their different benefits. The opposite of this
means that a lack of certain vitamins and minerals present in you diet can
mean that certain parts of your health are affected.
What a lot of people don?t realise is that your hair is a good indication of your over all health. For example if you are feeling low & run down, often your hair will be lank and lifeless. Lack of certain nutrients can also lead to thinning of your hair and in some extreme (but very rare) premature balding.
Extra vitamins for this situation are usually required if a person is ill or malnourished ? if some one is ill or under nourished this can cause hair damage and in some cases can stop your hair from growing at all. To help in keeping your hair healthy and to encourage growth there are a number of vitamins you need. These are B6, biotin, inositol and folic acid.
Usually you can get these vitamins easily in your diet, as long your food intake is healthy and varied. There are also a number of minerals that you can take to encourage healthy hair including zinc, magnesium and sulphur and silica. Vitamin A is also vital when it comes to ensuring you have healthy hair.
Another essential vitamin for healthy hair is vitamin A. Protein is also important for your hair, in fact hair is actually a protein itself called Keratin. The lack of protein in your diet can have a direct affect on hair growth. If you have enough of the right types of proteins in your body then your hair can easily repair any damage it may have (from styling etc) and grown new hair.
Of course it is not just vitamins that affect your hair growth. Your over all body condition has an affect too. This means that is generally eating a healthy diet and having an active lifestyle not only affect.
It is not just nutrients and diet that affect hair but your overall condition can to. Research has shown that illness, stress, lack of sleep can all cause your hair to suffer. If this is the case then nutritional supplements may not help to improve you hairs condition. One of the best ways to look after your hair and ensure it remains healthy is to look after yourself.
